ABOUT CHRISTOPHER IGLEHEART

Christopher Igleheart has a long association with the bicycle. After the youthful infatuation we all share for our first means of transportation and independent adventure Igleheart followed that passion into adulthood.

As a former shop owner this lead directly to the world of mountain bicycles. Working behind the scenes for another builder he began with forks. Many forks, frames, friends, races, trail miles logged and a continental crossing later Igleheart has settled down in New England again with his machine shop, knowledge and expertise.

A champion of steel as the superior frame material has lead to an intimate working knowledge of all the top manufactures of bicycle specific tubes. In addition, paying the bills with industrial fabrication projects Igleheart has a vast understanding of joining more exotic materials as well. Almost a decade of Stainless Steel work has lead to some of the most striking and handsome embellishments on his top level frames with this lustrous and enigmatic material. In line with the industrial projects prototyping is also a facet of his machine shop capabilities.

With the resurgence of steel as a lightweight bicycle material technology has lead to the finest steel tubing to date, including the more exotic stainless steels.
